Jimi Bean's Drive-Through Coffee Bar Gets Perkin'
-Construction has begun at 2491 Hilltop Drive as Redding's first Jimi Beans Coffee drive-through and espresso bar gets underway. Jimi Beans is the brainchild of a five-member, Oregon-based partnership that plans to bring the Pacific Northwest's charismatic coffee culture south to Redding.
According to Partner Karen Fronek, Jimi Beans is an experience and a place to buy the highest quality blend of taste-tested java in less than two minutes. "Our goal is to offer the best coffee in town, fast, fun and convenient. Jimi Beans is positive place to start you day or pick you up anytime. Our employees come to us with a good attitude, then we teach them how to have fun with the customers, and offer extraordinary customer service." Fronek explained.
Construction on the Jimi Beans site will be ongoing through mid-July, after which a grand opening ceremony will be scheduled. Plans call for easy access from Hilltop Drive. The building will be recognizable from the street with a unique façade, bright colors and a turret where the Jimi Beans image will be featured.
Partner Jim Botsford explained that the Hilltop site is the first Jimi Beans location, though the long-term business strategy includes several more just like it in Redding. "We can't wait to share the Jimi Beans experience and our special blend of coffee," Botsford said. "But our recipes for quality espresso, mochas and lattes will remain a secret."
